Bennett Lodge is a 160 acre property in Luddenham, providing short and long term Agistment for thoroughbred horses. We service a large cross-section of trainers across the Sydney basin and as far West as Dubbo. Owners and breeders across the country, as well as from New Zealand, make use of our facilities. We maintain strong relationships with the Veterinary Hospitals who utilise our facilities for post-hospitalisation care.

The team at Bennett Lodge is headed up by third generation thoroughbred breeder and racehorse trainer Lionel Cohen, with a special emphasis on treating horses as naturally as possible so that their agistment or spelling is as effective as possible.

Bennett Lodge is a closely managed and well kept location with an emphasis on quality grounds and a peaceful environment, with a natural tempo and flow that enables works to be carried out with minimal disruption.
INTRODUCING LioneL
As a third-generation thoroughbred breeder and experienced racehorse trainer, horses have always been part of Lionel Cohen’s life.
From his early days on his family’s horse breeding farm in South Africa, Lionel has had invaluable experience within the industry.
Since 1986 Lionel ran his family’s champion horse breeding business in South Africa, producing multiple winning horses that were nationally and internationally renowned.
In 2008, Lionel arrived in Australia with his wife Caroline and two children. From here he worked as a Group 1 trainer with Cohenia Racing at Rosehill for 6 years.
He and his wife Caroline have been operating Bennett Lodge since early 2022.
GETTING HERE
Bennett Lodge is located in the sprawling outer urban and near-rural community of Luddenham. A town dotted acreage style homesteads, farm land and some agricultural usage. Soon to be located within a very short distance of the brand new Western Sydney Airport. The Northern Road connects to multiple major arterials making access from all over Sydney and NSW very simple and with ongoing infrastructure upgrades to the nearby roads it will only become easier to access.
